Investment Requirements

Applicants must choose one of the following investment options:

  • $100,000 government contribution fee.
  • Investment must be maintained for at least three years.

Additional Fees and Processing Costs

In addition to the investment, applicants are responsible for the following fees:

  • Included in the primary contribution.
  • USD 7,500 for the main applicant.
  • USD 4,000 for each dependent over 16 years of age.
  • USD 300 per person.

Application Process

The application process typically takes between four and six months and follows these stages:

Month 1: Initial Steps


Due diligence checks conducted by the CBIU.

Sign the Client Agreement (CA) and submit a retainer payment.

For real estate investments, execute a Sales Agreement with developers.

Application documents are prepared and reviewed.

Months 2-3: Application Submission


Finalized applications are submitted to the CBIU.

Mandatory interviews conducted for applicants and dependants aged 16 and above.

The CBIU conducts comprehensive due diligence.

Months 4-6: Approval and Citizenship


Upon approval, applicants make final contributions and pay applicable fees.

Certificates of Naturalization are issued, followed by passports.

Dominica offers a favorable tax environment, including:

  • No taxation on worldwide income for residents (residing fewer than 183 days annually).
  • Progressive income tax rates for residents: 15%, 25%, and 35%.
  • No capital gains, net worth, or inheritance taxes.
  • Stamp duty: 2.5% for sellers and 4% for buyers on real estate transfers.
